Ghana’s government backs green energy and the expertise of our engineers: Following the first two photovoltaic power plants in Lawra and Kaleo, the next joint project is starting in the form of Kaleo Phase II.
Ghana’s biggest power supplier, the Volta River Authority (VRA), is to develop a new 15.78 MWp PV solar project in the Upper West Region, namely Kaleo II. The first phase of construction is already under way. After completion in the first quarter of 2023 it is to be connected up to the 34.5kV grid of the existing power plant (Kaleo Phase I) Tractebel is once again working for the VRA as Owner’s Engineer.
